Located in the suburb of Glyfada, the Glyfada Golf Club is an 18-hole course of international standards with exceptional views of the Saronic Gulf and in close proximity to cafes, bars, and restaurants. The 530 acres course was built in 1962 by the renowned golf architect Donald Harradine and was covered with pine trees and dunes. Apart from the main course, the facilities include practice areas, locker rooms, restaurant and bar, reception and parking and 2 tennis courts. The Glyfada Golf Course has hosted a number of events such as the World Cup Tournament in 1979, the Mediterranean Games in 1992, and for the past 3 years, the PGA Senior Greek Open. Furthermore, the Club has created a Golf Academy for young athletes in order to provide professional golf tuition and develop the game of golf in Greece.
