ALLOCATION OF THE POPULATION
The majority of the periphery of Attica, as of all Greece, is taken up by women who amount to 1.904.504 and correspond to the 50.62% of the total population of Attica.
The number of men is 1.775.498 and their amount on the population of Attica is 47,20%, while the remaining 81.898 persons are children up to the age of 6 years old (the National Statistical Service of Greece prefers not to divide in sexes) the percentage of whom, always according to the inventory of 2001, amounts to 2.18%.
