FILIKIS ETERIAS SQUARE (KOLONAKI)
The main square of the most aristocratic part of Athens, today, offers an abundance of luxury shopping, spots for a glamorous coffee or chic drink, or restaurants for serious business meetings.
Kolonaki is a step away from the refreshing air of Lycabettus Hill, but often has a lot of traffic due to its narrow streets that are more to the inhabitant's likings than to those of visitors that are looking for something, "typically Athenian".
Works were carried out at Kolonaki square to enhance its greenery and showcase some discreet water displays.
HOW TO GET THERE
BY BUS: 022, 060, 200
BY FOOT: Follow Vasilis Sofias Avenue up from Syntagma Square, past the Parliament on its left. After 400 meters, turn left to Koumbari Street - which will take you into Kolonaki Square.
