HORSEBACK RIDING

It takes no stretch of the imagination to envision horseback riding in Greece like those in ancient times, soaking up the beauty of the land in such a tranquil manner.

Athens has a number of clubs with indoor and outdoor circuits that offer trained professionals to teach newbie’s and to act as guides through the mountain trails located just outside of the city limits in areas such as Ekali, Vari, Zografou, Goudi, Tatoi, Varibobi, Maroussi, Kropi, Markopoulo and more.

Those of you who are interested in watching and betting at the races need to refer to the Markopoulo racetrack near the El. Venizelou Airport.
