Receptive and hospitable, like the residents of this country, Athens could only have a similar mentality for the cuisines of other countries.

Numerous restaurants with tastes from Brazil to China, from France to Lebanon, from Mexico to Poland, meet everywhere in the capital, whether you circulate downtown or the northern/southern suburbs.

The Athenians honor foreign cuisines, trying them often and possibly assimilating them in their routine - sometimes seeing them as something exotic, other times as something with very little difference from the familiar cooking of their grandmothers.

For sure the tastes of the international cooking entice the eclectic palate and keep gaining ground as alternate gastronomic choices.
