The square is 350 meters from Syntagma Square on the street named after it.
That is naturally where the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens
is found – as well as Agios Eleftherios church (Panagia Gorgoepikoos).
Following Pandrosou Street after the square is the area of Monastiraki.
HOW TO GET THERE
BY BUS: 025, 026, 027
BY FOOT: Follow Metropoleos Street, from Syntagma Square all the way down until you meet up with Metropoleos Square (with the Metropolitan Cathedral). This will take approximately 5 minutes.
HOT SPOTS - What we propose
Are you tired of the noise of busy Ermou Street? Make an escape just an alley further down to a quiet little pedestrian walkway and enjoy your frappé under the sun. (Ktena 3)
METROPOLEOS (AGIA DYNAMI)
Under the building of Ministry of Education and Religion there is a small church wedged between two columns. This is the church of "Agia Dynami" - the Holy Power of the Virgin. Do not pass it by, for it is an oasis of simplicity that has survived since the 16th Century worthy of your time.
