2004 OLYMPIC STRUCTURES

For the sake of the Olympic Games of Athens in 2004, a number of stadiums, fields and other athletic facilities were either completed or improved through architectural interventions.

The most popular project in view of the Games was the total reformation of the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens (O.A.K.A.) in Marousi by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava during 2002-2004 - with the addition of a roof, the formation of surrounding grounds, etc.
