Streets of Athens

Despite the justified worries of the city planners during the end of the 19th century, the prospect of a center supporting the growth that Athens would reach as a city never materialized.

Athens is neither proud of its street-planning nor its arterial roads, but even the traffic congestion that can be observed on the streets of the Greek capital could have a positive side: a constant movement of people and vehicles that gives the impression of an endless wakefulness. One of a city that is called upon to live in the pulse of modern day life.
