Established in 1979 by Maria Demetriades, the gallery hosts performances, video, photography, environments and exhibitions of paintings and sculptures. From the beginning, most of Medusa¢s associates were acclaimed young artists such as Takis, Mario Prassinos, Harold Stevenson, Robert Matta and Alexis Akrithakis. Presently, the gallery has been focusing on Greek artists and their promotion beyond the Greek borders, through collaborations with art galleries abroad or with the organizers of major international shows.
