Great forces collaborates on May 28 with the State Orchestra of Athens. An accomplished master musician and a Grammy Award-winning soloist. Christoph Essenbach returns to the podium as an invaluable Teacher and trusted companion of the Orchestra, ready to bring out the essence of music. This time, he leads the demanding Fifth Symphony of Anton Bruckner, a composer who for him means "everything! hope, depth and inner peace".

Its creator himself gave the Symphony the nickname "Fantastic", while the work has quite a few innovations. In the first part of the concert, the famous American cellist Jules Bailey takes on Edward Elgar's "confessional" Concerto for cello and orchestra. The composition was to be Elgar's last grand symphonic work, and it remains one of his most popular works to this day.

The proceeds of the concert will be allocated to support the project of "Together for the Child".
