Honoring one hundred and fifty years since the birth of Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943), the distinguished pianist Haris Dimaras, professor of piano and chamber music at Ithaca College in the state of New York, performs some of the finest works of the great Russian composer. His sons Alex and Panos cooperate with him.

The program juxtaposes in a dialectical way works for solo piano and chamber music compositions from all the creative periods of the composer, such as the well-known song "Vocalise" transposed for violin and piano, the Trio for piano, violin and cello no. 1 (1892), the majestic Sonata for cello and piano (1901), as well as selections from the famous Preludes, ops. 23 and 32 (1903 and 1910 respectively). A fitting and comprehensive tribute to the - according to the majority of experts - leading pianist and performer of all time and one of the most accomplished and genius composers of the Western European spoken word music tradition.
