The solo exhibition of Kallirrois Marouda entitled: "The language of painting" is presented at the Contemporary Athens gallery.

The emeritus professor of Art History at the NTUA School of Architecture and member of the Board of Directors of EMST, Melita Emmanuel writes, among others, in the text, which accompanies the catalog of the exhibition:

"With her new creations, Kallirroi Marouda seems to continue the visual narrative that started with the exhibition of her works in 2022 with the title "Image in the flesh". The female models, now naked and half-naked, are calmly presented in spaces without furniture and without decorative or other details. Nevertheless, the space is there, it exists and is shaped in a magical way by the painter's touch. The large painting (2.50 x 1.50 m.) that depicts the full-body-semi-nude- portrait of the painter Kalliopi Asargiotakis, with the simplicity of the pose and the sensitive color treatment [...].

Kallirroi Marouda offers us her own vision, which she follows and according to which she walks. In the large dimensions, she herself is lost, because she now paints with the body and not only with the tip of the hand. Thus it offers a perception of the whole. He paints rooms, the features of which are rendered suggestively with the help of subtle shades. She places her models in the center and presents them with abstraction, in simple and everyday poses. Eroticism exists, but without causing. [...]"
