USEFUL INFORMATION
AGIOS NIKOLAOS RAGAVAS
This Byzantine church was built in the 11th Century A.D. by the grandson of Emperor Michael I Rangabe, Paul Xiropotamino.
It has embodied in its walls marble pillars and parts of ancient edifice.
It was the first church in Athens that acquired a bell after the liberation of Greece by the Turks and the first to toll the freedom of the city from the Germans, in 1944.

HOW TO GET THERE
BY FOOT: From Vasilissis Amalias Avenue turn right onto Lysikratous Street. Follow the street towards Sellef Street and turn right. After 200 meters turn left onto Epicharmou Street. Here is the Church of Agios Nikolaos Ragavas located.
