ATHINAS STREET

It is difficult to find another place in the city with as much multiracial and multicultural gathering. The cheap food markets and Varvakios Agora (the central market) make it a busy crossing. It is the biggest unofficial pedestrian precinct of Athens, because traffic is permitted, but practically there is great danger to find a pedestrian on your front bumper if you are not extremely careful.
Athinas stretches from Omonia Square to Monastiraki Square and the Monastiraki Metro Station and it is 800 meters long. Besides the quaint market, it hosts the Municipality building of Athens across Kotzia Square.
HOT SPOTS - What we propose
THE CENTRAL MARKET OF ATHENS
The public fish, meat and vegetable market of Athens are open daily from the early morning. The smells and the colors of this area draw in buyers to taste produce like olives, Mediteranean herbs, lamb, octopus and whatever else the imagination might come up with. Furthermore, during the late night until early morning hours, at the far end of the meat market are two spots that serve comfort food to the weary partiers of the city.
ZENDO
If you are tired of walking and you wish to renew your batteries, Zendo will offer you a large dose of vitamins. A wide choice of fresh juices from various fruits and smoothies. (Athinas Street 35, Athens).
