GAZI



The area of Gazi got its name from the fact that the original Gasworks of Athens was locate there - where the building complex of Technopolis now stands.
Within the past decade, Gazi became one of the few places in Athens that allowed permits for new bars and restaurants to open. Subsequently, this part of the city gained rapid popularity as the hot spot of nightlife in Athens. Its location is further supported by the many theaters and art galleries surrounding it.
Gazi is easily accessible by means of the Kerameikos Metro Station - which is found directly in the main square. It is located about 1 km away from the center of the city in the south-west direction.
HOW TO GET THERE
BY ATHENS METRO: 3 (Blue Line), Station "Kerameikos"
BY BUS: 035, 049, 227, 500, 815, 838, 914, B18, G18,
TROLLEY: 21
BY FOOT: Exactly 1 km away from Omonia Square, walk down Pireos Street until you find the cross walk for Iera Odos. From here on end, is the area of Gazi.
HOT SPOTS - What we propose
TECHNOPOLIS
This is the most recognizable spot in the trendy Gazi area. The former gas works park is now used to host mega events such as festivals, concerts, major art exhibits and more.
