Athens Tram: Tickets & Information

To use the Athens Tram network you must have a ticket or in the case you are frequent passenger the type of card which best serves your needs. For some time now there has also been a multiple ticket "ATH-ENA Ticket" or the rechargeable "ATH-ENA Card", valid for several means of transport in Athens, such as the Athens Metro, Athens Tram and Buses.

Where to buy tickets?

- Athens Tram "Ticket Issuing Offices" or at the "Ticket vending machines"

- "Ticket Issuing Offices" or at the "Ticket vending machines" on every Metro Station of Line 1, 2 and 3

- "Ticket Issuing Offices" booths or at the "Ticket vending machines" of Urban Bus & Trolley

- Suburban Railway "Ticket Issuing Offices" booths or at the "Ticket vending machines" (Piraeus - Athens and Magoula - Plakentias section)

- Kiosks nearby tram, bus and metro stations

Important: We kindly ask you to validate your ticket at the ticket validation machines located at the tram stops and keep it in case of inspection. If you use a card, you must always have it with you so you can show it in the case of inspection.

Flat Fare Tickets - Instructions for use

All Flat Fare Tickets should be validated upon boarding on the first means of transport. It should not be validated more than once. Make sure your ticket haw been correctly validated. If the last journey cannot be completed within validity period of the ticket, the passenger must validate a new ticket.

90min flat fare ticket for all Mass Transit Modes
90min flat fare ticket for trips via Buses, Trolley Buses, Lines 1, 2, 3 of Athens Metro, Athens Tram and Lines 2, 3 of Suburban Railway.

- Airport bus lines and X80 bus line excluded
- Journeys from/to the Airport excluded (valid up to Koropi Station)
- Journeys from/to Suburban Railway stations located to the west of Magoula excluded

24-hour (Daily) ticket for al Mass Transit Modes
24-hour flat fare ticket for trips via Buses, Trolley Buses, Lines 1, 2, 3 of Athens Metro, Athens Tram and Lines 2, 3 of Suburban Railway.

- Airport bus lines excluded
- Journeys from/to the Airport excluded (valid up to Koropi Station).
- Journeys from/to Suburban Railway stations located to the west
of Magoula excluded

5-day ticket for al Mass Transit Modes
5-day (5x24 hour) flat fare ticket for trips via Buses, Trolley Buses, Lines 1, 2, 3 of Athens Metro, Athens Tram and Lines 2, 3 of Suburban

- Airport bus lines and X80 bus line excluded
- Journeys from/to the Airport excluded (valid up to Koropi Station).
- Journeys from/to Suburban Railway stations located to the west of Magoula excluded

3-day Tourist ticket for al Mass Transit Modes
Valid for 72 hrs after validation and unlimited travel on all means of public transport within the metropolitan area of Athens (Buses, Trolley Buses, Lines 1,2,3 of Athens Metro, Athens Tram and Suburban Railway and two trips, one from and onother one to the Athens Airport on Metro Line 3 or on the Airport bus lines.

- Bus line X80 included
- Journeys from / to the Airport excluded (valid up to Koropi Station).
- Journeys from / to Suburban Railway stations located to the west of Magoula excluded
