Monastiraki Metro Station

There are two entrances to Monastiraki Metro Station. One is directly on Monastiraki Square and the second at the beginning of Athinas Street. The station was inaugurated on May 17th, 1895.

It is partly outdoor type open and partly underground and has double-sided platforms. On the ticketing level of Monastiraki Station you can see the creation of artist Leda Papakonstantinou, made of 324 pieces of plexiglass occupy 134 square meters on the roof.

Monastiraki Metro Station serves line 1 (green line) and line 3 (blue line) of the Athens Metro.
