Neolithic Era (4000-3000 B.C.)

The Neolithic Era is mainly characterized by the permanent settlements of humans and the creation of townships, the domestication of animals and plants, as well as the utilization of ceramics.

6000-3000 B.C.
First signs of human activity and inhabitance appear in Athens. Archaeological digs indicate that most of the points of residence were on the south and north sides of the Acropolis Hill, the area around the Ancient Agora as well as on the east side of Attica in Nea Makri.
