Northern Attica Regions
The northern part of Attica is dominated by two mountains, Penteli and Parnitha. The landscape is rugged and not as inhabited as central or southern Attica. The coastal regions are pristine and often and not so crowded.
The largest of the towns is Oropos. The district of Skala Oropos is located directly by the sea and has a spacious promenade with many cafes and authentic taverns. From here, there is a ferry connection to the opposite Evia Island.
