The Railway Museum of Athens aim is to preserve samples of the technological development of the means of transportation in Greece.

The museums' benefactor was a former chief engineer of OSE, Mr. Christodoulos Christodoulou.

A true delight to visit, the Railway Museum of Athens also provides a friendly environment for both young and old. Most of the massive exhibits have been lovingly restored and are housed in a small hall, well lit by natural light.

In addition to plenty of memorabillia, works, photographs and designs of the modern fleet of railway cars are also displayed. In 2019, the museum moved to a new address in Piraeus.
