The Kolonaki district is very conveniently located in the center of Athens and is the perfect starting point for a sightseeing tour. Syntagma Square is only a ten-minute walk from here. There are many museums in Kolonaki such as the Benaki Museum and the Museum of Cycladic Art. These are located directly on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and are among the most visited in the city.

But also, smaller museums in Kolonaki have interesting things to offer, such as the Kotsanas Museum of Greek Ancient Technology. Stroll along the numerous shopping streets, like the glamorous Voukourestiou Street graced with many famous designer stores, or take a trip to Lycabettus Hill, either on foot along the pathways or by cable car which will take you from Ploutarchou Street to the top of the 277 meter high hill.
