The most booked day trips from Athens go to the southern tip of the Attica Peninsula. The journey from Athens towards the south, along the Athens Riviera and the winding coastal road, is an experience in itself.
The highlight here in the south of Attica is of course the ancient Poseidon Temple and the sunset of Cape Sounio. Those who have experienced it already will understand why. Do not miss this special, natural spectacle. But be careful: It will be kitschy!
