Squares of Historic Center
The squares in the old districts of Athens like Plaka, Monastiraki, Thissio, and Psiri are exceedingly charming and often smaller than the squares in the modern part of the city.
Here, time ticks more slowly and it is relaxing to sit down for a cup of coffee on the square, slow down, and enjoy the surroundings of neoclassical buildings or ancient monuments.
