The Greek Theaters today
Today’s theater is a little bit different even though it shares many similarities with its Greek predecessors. For example layout, special effects, seating arrangement, the importance of drama and religion, setting, location and architectural features.
Also, today there are connections between theater and the art forms of ballet, opera, and various other forms.
Regarding the Greek modern theater, the regeneration took place in Venetian Crete. "Eroto-kritos" (a romance verse written around 1600 by Vitsentzos Kornaros) is undoubtedly the master-piece of this early period of Modern Hellenic literature and represents one of its supreme achievements.
