Trade Fairs & Exhibition Centers in Athens

In Greece, you can find nearly all of the exhibitions, trade shows, and congresses transpire in the metropolitan area of Athens. In recent years, the importance of Athens as a location of open trade has grown tremendously and is currently referred to as the "economic hub" between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. This reinforces the growing number of business travelers to this region.

In Athens, there are numerous event centers for trade fairs. Many smaller exhibitions take place at the impressive rooms of the historic "Zappeion Mansion" found in the National Garden. Other popular locations include the halls of the old gasworks factory in Gazi ("Technopolis"), the "Benaki Exhibition Hall" on Pireos Street, or the "Palio Amaksostasio", the building of the former Athens public transport company at the end of Ermou Street. There are also exhibition halls in certain parts of the Athens Metro, for example in the Syntagma metro station.

Larger trade fair events are usually held by the big players such as the "Helexpo Exhibition Center" in Marousi, the "Metropolitan Expo" which is located directly in the Athens airport, or the "MEC Mediterranean Exhibition Center" in Paiania. These offer extensive multi-functional exhibition halls, sufficient parking space and are well connected to Athenian public transport.

Additionally, the "Thessaloniki Trade Fair", which ranks as the largest fair in Greece, is annually held in the country's second-largest city - Thessaloniki.
