USEFUL INFORMATION
KIFISIAS AVENUE

A large artery starting from Ampelokipi in the Municipality of Athens to become the borderline between many northern municipalities: Psychiko, New Psychico, Chalandri and Filothei.
The avenue begins to traverse Marousi on a level with OAKA and further down the road – at the Syngrou grove – crosses the municipality of Kifisia until it enters Nea Erythraia and is renamed Eleftheriou Venizelou Avenue.
Its inter municipal basis of about 14 km in length, could cause you to get lost if you were looking for a specific number, since the numbering is set to zero at the beginning of each municipality.
Above all, Kifisias Avenue is a mirror of the progress of Athens, with all the consequences. Therefore, during the weekday mornings no other road in Athens has such traffic congestions and frequently transit – even finding a taxi – is no mean feat for the modern Greek employee.
On the other hand, of course, this is where one may find many contemporary architectural presentations, glass towers, corporation buildings, the OTE tower and generally what reminds us that, now more than ever, the capital is a city beyond its historical center.
