Established in 1993, the Lalaounis Jewelry Museum is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on the art of jewelry and the decorative arts.

The permanent collection of the Lalaounis Jewelry Museum has nearly 4,000 pieces of jewelry and micro sculptures from more than 50 collections designed by the museum's founder, Ilias Lalaounis, between 1940 and 2000.

The museum's objective is to foster cultural projects for special social groups like persons with disabilities and special interests groups. They include programs on jewelry design and making, gemology, art history, children's theater, family weekend programs, special workshops on temporary exhibitions.

The future plan of the Lalaounis Jewelry Museum is to progress into an international center for the study of decorative arts.
