The largest gathering of mayors to combat antisemitism, the 2022 Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism (MSAA), will take place from November 30th to December 1st, 2022 in Athens.

More than 50 mayors and local government officials from around the world will take part in this gathering, such as the USA, Latin America, Canada, Europe, Africa, and of course Greece.

For the first time in Athens, MSAA is convening mayors from around the world, in person, to share their challenges and solutions to combat hate, bigotry, and anti-Semitism in their cities, in order to preserve a common and inclusive democratic future. Hellenic President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Vice-President of the Greek Government, Panagiotis Pikramenos, will also honor the Summit with their presence at the opening on November 30th at 19:00 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Moreover, the mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, and the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, will address the group and the latter will be awarded by CAM for his dedication to the fight against Anti-Semitism and Intolerance. The mayor of Athens will further bestow the Freedom Award to Enes Kanter - an activist and international basketball player - for his actions in the defense of Human Rights and Freedom.

The Summit will highlight the scope of the problem of rising anti-Semitism, present strategic as well as creative solutions and provide the framework for the exchange of ideas and city-to-city collaborations while aiming to create a framework for best practices, laying the foundation for a transformative global but also a local impact in the fight against the new forms of the oldest hatred in the world.
