Antonatos "Gold" in Maribor
Dimitris Antonatos, the champion from Kefalonia, won first place and the gold medal in the shot put with a throw of 20.72m, in the final of the sport at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Maribor, Slovenia.
Dimitris Antonatos, the champion from Kefalonia, won first place and the gold medal in the shot put with a throw of 20.72m, in the final of the sport at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Maribor, Slovenia.
17-year-old Antonatos had an excellent race, after starting with 19.97m, he threw 20.02m in the second throw and 20.60m in the third. Two invalid attempts followed and he closed the race with an impressive 20.72 meters. It's the first medal for #TeamHellas so far in the event, which was indeed gold.
