The Greek film, feature and short, makes its presence felt at the film festivals of Locarno and Sarajevo in August, but also at the Venice one at the end of the summer, claiming awards and distinctions.

These three international events are important for maintaining and strengthening the ties of domestic film production with the European public, but also with international cinema professionals.

"The selection of seven films - three feature length and four short - in the competition programs of these festivals, is indicative of the extroversion of modern Greek film. Something that is also a basic pursuit of the Hellenic Film Center (EKK). However, it also shows the confidence of foreigners towards the lively potential of our cinematography. The Greek presence at the Locarno and Sarajevo festivals is also noticeable thanks to three international co-productions, in which Greek producers participate," the Hellenic Film Center says in a statement.
