Seamen's union launches 48-hour nationwide work stoppage

Ships will stay in their ports on Wednesday and Thursday across the country, due to a 48-hour nationwide strike announced by the Panhellenic Maritime Federation (PNO) for all categories of ships to demand the drafting and signing of new collective labor agreements for 2023.
Ships will stay in their ports on Wednesday and Thursday across the country, due to a 48-hour nationwide strike announced by the Panhellenic Maritime Federation (PNO) for all categories of ships to demand the drafting and signing of new collective labor agreements for 2023.

Moreover, the Panhellenic Union of Tugboat Crews is also participating in the PNO's mobilizations, announcing rolling 48-hour strikes from 06:00 on Friday.

The sailors' strike will start at 06:00 on Wednesday (8/2) and end at 06:00 on Friday (10/2).

The seamen's unions are expected to hold a protest rally on Wednesday at 11:00, at the BlueStar ships docks, opposite the old Piraeus metro station.
