Social security fund staff hold work stoppage today
Employees at the country’s biggest social security fund, EFKA, will be walking off the job on Tuesday in protest at what they say is an attempt by the government to privatize the sector.
Employees at the country’s biggest social security fund, EFKA, will be walking off the job on Tuesday in protest at what they say is an attempt by the government to privatize the sector.
Their union is also asking for the immediate hiring of more staff and raises in employees’ salaries.
A protest rally is being planned at 11 this morning in front of the Labor Ministry in Athens.
