Traffic restrictions for funeral of ex-king Constantine on Monday

Traffic restrictions will be put in place between 06:00 and 14:00 today, on Monday around the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral ('Mitropoli') near Syntagma Square because of the funeral of the former king of Greece Constantine.
Traffic restrictions will be put in place between 06:00 and 14:00 today, on Monday around the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral ('Mitropoli') near Syntagma Square because of the funeral of the former king of Greece Constantine.

No cars will be allowed on Mitropoleos street, on Aiolou Street between Adrianou Street and Ermou Street, on Ermou Street between Aiolou Street and Athinas Street, the police said. 

 

No cars will be allowed to stop or park on the above streets as of 22:00 on Sunday to 14:00 on Monday.

 

The restrictions to cars may be adapted or extended, depending on current conditions.

Members of the public who want to pay their respects may do so at the Agios Eleftherios Chapel, next to the Cathedral, from 06:00 to 11:00 on Monday. After 11:00, only those invited by the family will be allowed to enter the Metropolitan Cathedral, by request of the ex-king's family.
