Athens is admittedly not a destination for amusement parks. The few that exist are spread all over the country. More often than not, you can find waterparks here. These parks usually possess several swimming pools and water slides. Some of these are located directly on the sea like small amusement islands.
When in the year 2002 the "Allou! Fun Park" opened as the first more significant theme park in Greece it created a real sensation.
