Dimitris Papadopoulos and Konstantinos Sturaitis invite acclaimed saxophonist Takis Paterelis to a tribute to jazz trumpet legends Kenny Dorham & Lee Morgan, at Half Note Jazz Club on Friday, November 3rd.

The quintet will focus on Kenny Dorham's collaboration with Joe Henderson and Lee Morgan's collaboration with both Hank Mobley and Wayne Shorter, through their personal discography, as well as that of the Jazz Messengers.

Having a long presence both as a unit and as a group, the Konstantinos Stouraitis Trio has many concerts to its credit, from the House of Letters and Arts to the West Village of New York, while Dimitris Papadopoulos has collaborated with many musicians and is one of the most active members of the domestic and international Jazz scene of the last fifteen years.

On this unique evening, their guest will be the iconic saxophonist, composer and teacher Takis Paterelis, who with a 40-year career is the living history of jazz saxophone in our country, with studies at Berklee College of Music and many international collaborations, such as with Jimmy Cobb, John Hicks et al.

With respect to the Jazz tradition and an eye towards the future, the five musicians will perform lyrical melodies and strong rhythmic patterns that will convey the Hard Bop sound of the 50s-60s.

For a unique evening, on Friday, November 3, at the Half Note Jazz Club.
