Description

Established in 1836 as the “Royal School of Arts” and functioned as a public school for technical training. It quickly became known as the Polytechnic University (or Polytecnio). In 1887, it was promoted to a Higher Education Institute (A.E.I. - Anotato Ekpaideftiko Idryma) for the studies of mechanical engineers, architects, engineering architects, etc.
