Description

The Ministry of Culture and Sports was founded in 1971 as the Ministry of Culture and Science. In 2009, it merged with the Ministry of Tourism Development to form the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The tasks of the Ministry include the preservation of the cultural heritage, the promotion of the arts, and the supervision of sports by the subordinate General Secretariat.
