Entering the Flisvos Park the first thing we see is the restaurant & café. An incredibly beautiful place in an excellent location to enjoy a coffee, snack or food while your children can play in their high quality playground area. An extra advantage is the fact that the venue can be booked for children's parties and receptions.
Afterward, while taking a walk in the park, one can admire the greenery sprawling next to the sea. On this landscape is also where the botanical garden is located. It has an area of over 3,000 square meters. Within it there are 60 species of plants and accompanied by informative signs regarding their identity and usefulness.
Flisvos Park operates the largest playground in Greece that is divided into two parts. One is for children strictly ranging from ages 5 years to 12 years old. Note that the playground remains open from Monday to Friday from 07:30 – 22:00 and on Weekends from 09:30 – 22:00.
Inside the park, you will also find a basketball court and a petanque court (a popular French game utilizing metal balls).
For entertainment lovers, there is a children's summer theater which hosts various children's shows and cultural events for the little ones. Moreover, there is an open-air cinema for the adults - which operates from early May and closes at end of October, in a green area just a few meters away from the blue sea.
For the bicycling enthusiast, bring your bike as the park is suitable for both cycling and hiking. Pets are also allowed in certain parts of the park where that are clearly marked.
Access to the park is easy, and can be done by tram and getting off at the "Flesvos Park" stop, or by bus at the "Trocadero" stop and also by the local bus line. Routes take place every half hour. The park is open all hours and the entrance is free for everyone.
