About

A top form of punk rock music in an explosive concert at –1 of Stegis, which this year aspires to become the underground music scene of the Neos Kosmos neighborhood.

Anarchist musician, Emmy nominee, writer, LGBTI+ activist. We heard her in "Walls" by Christos Sarris, the short film presented at the "Archive of Desire" festival, singing shockingly, inspired by the poem of the same title by K. P. Cavafy. Laura Jane Grace is a leading figure in the modern rock scene, both in her personal career and as frontwoman of the band Against Me! which he founded in Naples, Florida in the late 1990s.

In 2012, her transgender disclosure to Rolling Stone magazine was a defining moment in her career, bringing an important issue to the fore, helping to raise awareness of gender and identity issues in the music world. Two years later, she released one of her most important albums, "Transgender Dysphoria Blues", a creative statement of great importance, defining for an entire generation, and also Against Me's most successful record! until today.

As for her band, she has created a very special and politicized music, incorporating various influences and elements from various musical genres. The harsh criticism they exert through their lyrics reflects their struggle for individual and social freedom and their resistance to social injustice.

Laura Jane Grace's music is undeniably political. "I was originally drawn to punk and anarchism because I saw them as a way to make a positive change, where everyone would be equal. While there were people in that particular scene who espoused those values, the more punk artists I hung out with, the more I realized that most of them were privileged white kids who were taking advantage of that idealism."
