Skoufa Gallery presents the new solo exhibition of Giorgos Hadoulis, entitled New Landscapes.

In his eleventh solo exhibition at Skoufa Gallery, Giorgos Hadoulis presents a series of twenty new works, which he has created over the last three years, consisting of large-scale oils on canvas and works with inks on paper. Their subject matter is drawn from landscapes deeply rooted in the artist's memory, landscapes that he has lived and explored. With his own characteristic writing he transports us to a world where one can wander and search for one's own personal memories.

As the artist himself states: "These landscapes are based on real landscapes but they are painted freely. I know them well, I have dived from the rocks in their seas, I know when their waters are cold or warm. I have lain in the shade of the pines. There is resin from these pines in my swimsuit. I know how the ears of corn are under them. I have seen the moon rise behind these hills and I wonder how many before me have felt all this as I have after me".

Born in Athens in 1966, George Hadoulis is one of the most popular painters of his generation. He studied painting at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris where he lived for almost ten years and has since then systematically exhibited his work in Greece and abroad.
In extension of his painting quest he also has to present a particularly remarkable work in drawing, lithography and ceramics. Using bright colors and clean design, Giorgos Hadoulis' work glorifies what it means to be alive.
His works can be found in museums, such as the National Gallery and the Vassilis and Elizas Goulandris Foundation, as well as in important public and private collections.
