MALLS AND DEPARTMENT STORES

Up until the past two decades, Athenians were not raised with the concept of the "Department Store". Shopping was, and is still being done on a large scale, on a store-to-store basis.

Nowadays, downtown Athens has a number of fine department stores to boast of, but look further north for a few super-malls the likes of which even most Americans have not ever seen.
