Description

The Athens School of Fine Arts was established in 1837. Since 1930, it is the self-sufficient, Higher Education Institute – equal to the National Technical University of Athens (National Metsovion Polytechnic University). The Athens School of Fine Arts is a self-governed Legal Public Entity and functions under the supervision of the State. The goal of the School is the development of the artistic abilities of its student and to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge around the fine arts through teaching and research. Furthermore, the School contributes to the social, cultural and economic development of the country through its graduating students.
