Sightseeing on Syngrou Avenue

Syngrou Avenue is a direct connection from the center of Athens to the seaside suburb of Paleo Faliro. The city highway has several exits and on the parallel street there are many attractive shops, restaurants, car dealerships, electronics chains, and cultural institutions.

At the level of "Syngrou Fix" metro station is the National Museum of Contemporary Art, which opened for Documenta 2017. Not a kilometer away is the Onassis Cultural Center, where concerts and theater performances are held. There is also a popular multiplex cinema on the premises. At the end of Syngrou Avenue, somewhat inconspicuously located, is the Eugenides Foundation with the Athens Planetarium.

For a few years now, the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center (SNCC) has been outstanding opposite with its new architectural building, which is a magnet for visitors. On the grounds of the SNCC you can also find the New National Library and the prestigious Greek National Opera.
