Description

The Greek Chamber of Shipping in Piraeus was founded in 1936 and acts as an official advisor to the Hellenic government. It also conducts studies on shipping-related matters and promotes the future-oriented technical development of the industry. The Chamber is also responsible for arbitration in maritime disputes. By law, all Greek shipping companies, shipowners' unions, and vessels under the Greek flag are required to be members.
