Paros Island

The Island of Paros is located within the Cyclades of Greece and offers a wide variety of sights to explore, amazing beaches, beautiful traditional villages, turquoise waters, Cycladic architecture, archaeological sites and museums, fun and a great nightlife and the hospitality of the welcoming locals.

The island got its name from Paros, leader of the Arcadians, who settled on the island. You may visit by airplane from Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (flight duration 40 minutes) and by boats departing from Piraeus Port, Rafina Port and Lavrio Port (duration approximately 5 hours) and high speed (duration approximately 3 hours).

The main areas of Paros are: Parikia, Naoussa, Aliki, Marmara, Prodromos, Kostos, Lefkes, Marpissa, Drios, Piso Livadi, Molos, Chrissi Akti (Golden Beach), Nea Chrissi Akti, Logaras, Pounda, Marathi and Lefkes.

Paros is ideal for windsurfing, water activities, sports, diving and hiking. Very popular in summer months are the famous festivals of the island (August 6th - The Transfiguration in Marpissa, August 15th - Virgin in Paroikia, August 29th - The feast of Agios Ioannis at Dryos and Lefkes).
