The European Camera (CE), inspired by the kaleidoscope of current events around the world, presents a human-centered cultural program through the EU-Agenda European Spring.

New perceptions, new morals, new technologies and now a new world shape the modern man. With the progress of science and the evolution of technology, man has understood previously unimaginable concepts, marking great and admirable achievements. The powerful mechanisms of modern society, however, focus mainly on hedonism, materialism, questioning principles, tearing down essential moral standards, cultivating the Ego and self-deification.

Today it is proposed to be vigilant, to mechanize and to alienate man from his fellow man, with the result that his spirit shrinks and his soul is drugged. There is a myopic, materialistic, economic-technical, if not leveling approach to the solution of essential socio-geopolitical problems, while the cultivation of wisdom, the deepening of culture, the acquisition of collective solidarity are no longer the main modern anthropocentric goals.

A lot has to change! Transcending boundaries and major upheavals (Status quo) can be achieved by a burst of spiritual culture. After all, history has proven that any political and social revolution was preceded by an intellectual and artistic awakening.

Culture gives existence depth and quality, breathes life into the essential, sheds light on the important that has been neglected while at the same time broadening human existence as a means of transcendence (Maria Makraki, artistic director).
