About

Evangelia appears for a live concert at Piraeus Club Academy.

In her music she marries the Greek musical tradition with modern pop. He creates an original and completely personal mix of international and Greek-style elements.

The press release states among other things: "27-year-old Evangelia (with a Greek dad and an Italian-American mom) grew up in New Jersey, but every summer she came to her grandmother's estate in Crete, where she fell in love with Greek traditional music. When she was in college, she started writing songs and the compositions of Ingrid Michaelson and Etta James inspired her. She started working as a teacher while appearing in clubs in New York. [...] When she lost her job due to cutbacks, Evangelia decided to devote herself exclusively to music. [...]. She moved to the West Coast of America, in California, and a little later her path crossed with that of Jay Stolar (composer and producer, known for his collaborations with Aloe Blacc, G-Eazy and Demi Lovato) [...]
In her debut single, "Páme Páme", Evangelia makes her musical mark and expresses in the best way her passion for life and creation. Stolar plays the bouzouki and she invites us to live life to the fullest. This was followed by "Fotiá" where Evangelia, working with acclaimed Greek-German producer Alexis Troy, once again proved her undeniable inventiveness, creating a euphoric dance track that "caught fire" with steady percussion and dreamy melodies. In her compositions, Evangelia reveals the irresistible dynamics of her music: with an "evanescent" instinct and an irresistible skill, she marries American pop with the strong rhythms and seductive nuances of Greek traditional music. Shortly after, together with Allie Crystal and Larzz Principato, he writes "Paradise". [...]
Evangelia constantly incorporates new elements of her Greek heritage into her music and, inspired by her roots, creates something new, original and authentic [...]".
