One of the world's leading guitarists and five-time Grammy nominee, the acclaimed Robben Ford is coming to Athens! At the Fuzz Club for one night only, Friday 8th December.

Having played alongside musical legends, Robben Ford continues to confirm Musician magazine's ranking of him as one of the 100 greatest guitarists of the 20th century. Before even celebrating his 23rd birthday, he had already collaborated with Joni Mitchell and George Harrison, while names such as Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Witherspoon, Larry Carlton, John Mayall, Greg Allman, John Scofield followed, while in the decade 80 played and recorded with KISS.

He was born in California and his relationship with music began at the age of 10, when he decided to learn the saxophone. But quickly, he was won over by the guitar and fell in love with the golden era of rhythm and blues, obsessively watching B.B.'s concerts. King, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin. Somewhere there he also discovered his second musical love: jazz. He met her through the saxophone of Paul Desmond and the Dave Brubeck Quartet but also thanks to John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter and of course Miles Davis.

This is how this unique and special mixture of jazz and blues that characterizes Robben Ford's playing came about. From the first day of his contact with music, until today Robben Ford has not stopped playing, composing and experimenting.

The Greek public will have the opportunity to enjoy him for the first time in the company of Jonny Henderson on Hammond and Evan Jenkins on drums on Friday, December 8 at the Fuzz Club.
