The Spiral Trio returns to the Half Note Jazz Club stage for a unique performance on Wednesday March 27th.
The three musicians will present their recent original compositions that will form the material for their upcoming album, as well as compositions from their latest album, "Broken Blue" released last year by Odradek Records for worldwide distribution and has garnered rave reviews internationally.
Spiral Trio was formed in 2012 and arose from the need of the three musicians to work as a team and experiment on modern jazz improvisation, in the piano trio format. With their experience in the Greek and European scenes they have now formed a distinct and recognizable sound, both as musical units and as a whole. Their sound is characterized by the constant interplay, i.e. the continuous and improvisational interaction, which combined with the high level of their improvisational musical abilities bring to the musical result strongly the elements of surprise, constant adventure, freshness, variety in the creation of musical imagery and imagination in storytelling.
