On Monday February 26, Kostis Christodoulou returns to Gazarte with a very different look, opening the playful and enigmatic Kiddo Stage!

"We Real Cool" Costis Christodoulou Electric Group

Entitled C'Mon (Creative Music of Now), pianist Kostis Christodoulou's new electric group We Real Cool presents a fusion program with a sound that combines New Orleans boogie woogie with atmospheric slowjams, synth-funk with up-beat calypso , and film soundtracks featuring Afro-Cuban jazz.

A special musical experience, where audience and musicians will share sensations and emotions on the same level, without a stage, without chairs – an organic jazz mystique on the atmospheric, stone-built Kiddo Stage of Gazarte – seeking to preserve the immediacy and vitality of the most dynamic art form.

Original and anecdotal pieces, work songs & spirituals, songs by Harry Belafonte, Afro-Cuban standards, scores from Spike Lee films, connected with a free, improvisational approach, recommending the "creative music of the now", which is born before us and disappears in the same moment, passing to another side.
